Inertia

It looks like quite a few of the photos I took at Swallow Falls State Park the other day have been marred by some water drops that I got on my lens. I knew it at the time, and I tried to clean it off the best I could, but it’s still a problem with many of the shots. I noticed it this afternoon as I started going through the huge backlog of photos that I took in the mountains from a couple of weeks ago up through my last quick trip there last week.

I’m very lazy about editing photos, which might have something to do with the feeling that I never end up with more than a handful of photos (out of sometimes hundreds that I take) that I’m really happy with. Sure, the rest are perfectly functional as snapshots — and are probably even a little better than a typical snapshot — but they’re never quite what I’m striving for.

I have a similar problem in writing blog posts; I never know quite what to write. I never know where to start.
